Playing minigolf on Easter Monday has never before been this good. The income from the competition, which will take place on 9 April at the courses of Relax Time in Canegrate, will be donated in its entirety to charity. The proceeds will go to the parish of Santa Maria Assunta di Canegrate’s recreation centre with the purpose of buying items which were stolen last October. In addition, the “Magic World Miniature” competition will also act as the inauguration tournament for the new miniature course, recently completed in light of the upcoming international events: the Nations Cup from the 19th to the 27th of May and the World Championships from the 11th to the 25th of August.
The money collected from the event will all go to the recreation centre of Santa Maria Assunta di Canegrate in order to purchase equipment which was stolen during a burglary last October. More precisely, the contributions of Relax Time will help in buying loud speakers, switchboards and portable microphones. «We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this donation – unanimously says members of the parish, volunteers and the Sisters of Cottolengo, all of whom manage the rec centre and the nearby nursery school- a donation which will greatly help us purchase the equipment that is fundamental in organizing activities for the over 200 children that attend the centre every Sunday and the 500 who will attend in the summer months. This equipment will better help us carry out our work with the children».
The “Easter-weekend tournament” also has an added value from the professionals’ point of view in that it offers the unique opportunity for players to challenge each other on the newly laid miniature course, exclusively put down for the upcoming international competitions. Many players, both Italian and foreign, will take advantage of this long Easter week-end to practice and “get to know” the new course that they will be competing on this spring and summer. The “Magic World Miniature” inauguration tournament already has the confirmed attendance of players from the Austrian National Team who will be competing against their Italian counter-parts all in the name of charity.
The tournament is set to start at 9 on Monday morning: the contestants will play 3 rounds each on the new miniature course. Each team will be made up of five players, male and female mixed and participation is open to all members of the FIGSP (Italian Federation of Minigolf) in addition to players belonging to foreign minigolf federations. The registration fee is 15 Euros per tournament and at the completion of the tournament Relax time will offer refreshments to all present. The official training for this competition will take place on Saturday, the 7th of April from 8 to 17 (cost 4 Euro). For additional information please contact 347/9646414.
