The 2007 edition of the minigolf World Championships is quickly approaching and players from all over the world are getting ready for the biggest event in the world of competitive minigolf. There are a confirmed 22 countries arriving from 3 continents, all of which are hoping to go home with a championship title. The participating European nations, which have greatest number of participants, will be competing against players from both North America and Asia. Crossing the Atlantic to arrive in Canegrate, Italy will be participants from the United States and Canada, while all the way across the world top players from Japan and Taiwan will be making their way over the pacific to compete in this much anticipated World Championships (a complete list of the participating Nations can be found below).
The official registration will close on the 31st of July, but the numbers already collected as of now offer an interesting array of participants: over 200 people coming from 22 countries around the world have already answered to the World Minigolf Federation's call for players in this highly regarded international tournament, all of whom will be spending part of their summer in Italy; arrivals starting from the 11th of August with a stay in the country until at least the last day of the tournament, the 26th of August. Moreover, while the players are in Italy, the organization is putting together some special events so the guests of Minigolf2007 can get a taste of the area they will be spending their time in. During the training, the players will be divided into two groups, alternating morning and afternoon practices, which will allow everyone a bit of free time to visit the picturesque territory of Altomilanese, the same territory hosting the competition, and offer all the visitors the opportunity to purchase the same products that have made Italy famous throughout the world, such as food specialities, clothing, shoes and diverse accessories. In fact, the organization is putting together a programme for the players and their campaigns to allow them to see and visit the most important locations of the area. There are cultural visits scheduled to see all the jewels the area has to offer, however, not to miss are the fabulous shopping occasions at outlets such as Dolce & Gabbana and other well know products produced in this territory.

Austria, Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Great Britain, Germany, Holland, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Portugal, Russia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Slovakia, Sweden, Taiwan, and the United States.
