Minigolf is a game played using banks, slopes and calculations down to the smallest millimetre, and it is on the forefront of being discovered by the world. In anticipation of seeing minigolf champions from all over the world in action during the 2007 World Championships, which will take place in Canegrate (Milan) from 19 to 27 May and from 17 to 25 August, this occasion offered by the BIT, la Borsa Internazionale del turismo- the international tourism expo- will take place in the pavilions of the Milan Expo Centre from 22 to 25 February. During the world’s biggest tour product exposition, minigolf will have a reserved spot to be seen up close: the region of Lombardy will host minigolf in their stand (pavilion 3) during the BIT, which will host over 5,000 exhibitors, 150,000 visitors, 105,000 dealers, 3,400 journalists with over 120 countries participating in 9 exhibitor pavilions in a total area of 60 thousand meters squared.
The official minigolf presentation will occur Saturday, 24 February from 11.30 to 12.00: Piergianni Prosperini, the Region of Lombardy’s sport councillor is expected, as are the organizers of the minigolf manifestations. Top players of the Italian Minigolf Federation will be present to demonstrate the beauty of minigolf when played by professionals on a pitch installed just for the occasion. This will offer people the occasion to test drive the excitement of minigolf thanks to the help of Italy’s top minigolf players.
