Over 70 athletes coming from Austria, Switzerland and Italy participated in the “Magic World Miniature” charity competition, which took place Easter Monday in Canegrate (Milan). Easter Monday was celebrated on the courses of Relax Time Minigolf in the best possible of ways: 2 thousand euros were donated in beneficence to the local church “Santa Maria Assunta” which was the victim of a burglary where technological equipment was stolen a few months ago.
The winners of the competition were the Austrians, coming in first place, but closely followed by the Italian National Team. A great performance
was had by Massimiliano Crespi (coming in second with 93 strokes in 4 rounds) and was proceeded only by Austrian Franz Berger who was able to complete the course in a mere 92 strokes. Equally imposing was the performance of Sara Marchiani who blew away all the female competitors by completing the four rounds with only 95 strokes. However all the other players scored quite “high”, between 98 and 102, a sign that the courses may have many hidden dangers and still need to be well-studied before the very important international competitions take place in May and August of this year.
Also attending the event was the president of the Italian National Team, Giuliano Banfi, and the sport councillor of the Canegrate Township, Roberto Merviglia. Moreover, the “Magic World Miniature” tournament served as a “tester”, allowing athletes to test drive the brand new 18 hole miniature recently laid down at Relax Time in record time. The new miniature course succeeded in realizing a perfect structure described as «rich with stimulants» by the athletes, and is ready just in time for the Nations Cup, occurring from the 19th to the 27th of May and the World Championships, from the 11th to the 25the of August.
